The Fueling the Future Grant at the Stafford Air & Space Museum helps schools overcome transportation barriers by reimbursing fuel costs for educational field trips to the museum. Inspired by General Thomas Stafford’s lifelong commitment to igniting a passion for exploration in young minds, this grant ensures that every child has the opportunity to take their first steps toward the stars.
To support school field trips to the Stafford Air & Space Museum by reimbursing transportation fuel expenses.
Grants reimburse up to $250 per school for fuel costs associated with transportation to and from the museum.
Applications are accepted year-round while funds are available. Schools are encouraged to apply early, as funds are limited.
Contact the Stafford Air & Space Museum to schedule your field trip and confirm availability.
Complete and submit the Fueling the Future Grant Application form at least two weeks before your scheduled visit.
The museum will notify applicants within five business days of receiving the application regarding grant approval.
Bring your students for a guided educational experience at the Stafford Air & Space Museum!
After the trip, submit a copy of the itemized fuel receipt along with a simple trip summary (provided form). appointed Chief of Astronauts at NASA
Approved schools will receive reimbursement (up to $250) within 30 days after submitting the required documents.
